CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join CLA Northeast's Higher Education team in Massachusetts. The role focuses on university client audits, guiding engagements from planning through reporting, with opportunities to build specialized expertise.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 2+ years in public accounting, and CPA eligibility is preferred. Travel to client sites may be required; in-office work is expected at Southern New England locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience.
• CPA eligibility preferred.
• Prior experience at an established public accounting firm is a plus.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage day-to-day audit engagements for university clients from planning to reporting, including budgeting and staff direction.
• Review client accounting and operating procedures.
• Develop and assess internal controls design and implementation.
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures and correspondence.
• Communicate technical matters clearly to staff, management, and clients.
