Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seeks an Associate Program Officer to support GUIDE's higher education and workforce development portfolio in Washington, DC. You will engage alumni, coordinate partnerships, and help operationalize student and employer engagements.

With a focus on grantee management, communications, and portfolio tracking, you will work under the Sr. Program Officer to advance career exploration and readiness activities and disseminate program

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grant and program administration, including grantee management and solicitation processes.
• Experience developing higher education student engagement across career exploration, readiness, and opportunities.
• Strong project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of program performance and participant outcome measurement.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage competing priorities, and build relationships with grantees and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of higher education and workforce development programs.
• Coordinates partnerships with education institutions, agencies, employers, and other partners.
• Identifies alumni engagement needs across GUIDE's portfolio and coordinates communications.
• Supports grantee management and solicitation processes with program officers.
• Works with evaluation staff to assess programs and outcomes.
• Coordinates workflow, procedures, and recordkeeping for programs/projects.
• Develops written materials and coordinates dissemination activities.
• Maintains program records and databases and supports web content updates.
• Collects and organizes data for reporting and portfolio planning.
• Supports newsletters and promotional materials.
