Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking a Program Officer to lead the Biomedical and Health Sciences Program. You will coordinate workshops, develop content, manage budgets and schedules, and engage diverse experts from academia, government, industry, and the public to produce evidence-informed workshop products.

• Advanced knowledge of scientific, technical, or policy issues relevant to biomedical and health sciences.
• Strong program and project management skills, including managing scope, schedules, budgets, stakeholders, and deliverables.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex information and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong facilitation skills to engage experts with differing perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned workshops, meetings, and related projects with a supervisor.
• Plans and executes convening activities, including agendas and presentations; prepares summaries and deliverables.
• Collaborates with sponsors and experts from federal, state, and local agencies, foundations, and academia.
