Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking an Associate Program Officer (APO) in the Gulf Integration, Development and Education unit (GUIDE) to support higher education and workforce development programs, alumni engagement, and grantee management in a hybrid Washington, DC area setting. The APO will work under the Sr.

Program Officer, manage day-to-day activities, coordinate with institutions and partners, and help advance Gulf Scholars and related programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grant and program administration.
• Experience developing higher education student engagement and workforce development programs preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operations of higher education and workforce development programs and partnerships.
• Identifies alumni engagement needs and coordinates communications, events, and relationship management.
• Facilitates grantee onboarding, communications, convenings, and technical assistance logistics.
• Provides programmatic support for grantee management and solicitation processes.
• Works with evaluation staff to assess programs and outcomes.
• Maintains program records, databases, and dissemination materials.
