Job summary

Walden University in Lisle, IL is seeking a Full-Time Academic Operations Specialist/Contracts Specialist for Field Experience to support the Office of Applied Learning Agreements and Walden University’s legal staff in managing field experience contracts and affiliation agreements.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in contracts/negotiation, preferably in higher education, with knowledge of education and healthcare contracts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of corporate contract administration/negotiation experience is required.
• BA/BS or relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of education and healthcare affiliation agreements is preferred.
• Self-starter demonstrating thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• High sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate affiliation agreements between Walden and field sites for student field experience.
• Negotiate contract terms with existing and potential affiliates.
• Assist with management and tracking of all contracts, amendments and issues.
• Review field experience contracts and affiliation agreements for university requirements.
• Review and prepare correspondence and communications relating to field experience contracts, affiliation agreements and associated documents.
• Assist with annual revision of university contracts, forms and documents.
• Support research of state and federal laws related to student field experiences.
• Collaborate with university legal staff and field site representatives on contracts.
