Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District is seeking a Cook for the Nutrition Services program at a middle or high school site. You will prepare, cook, bake and serve meals in large quantities while upholding taste, safety and quality.

Must have a Food Sanitation Certificate and be a high school graduate with experience in high-volume scratch cooking. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and to follow directions from the Nutrition Services Manager is required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a high school graduate, possess a Food Sanitation Certificate.
• Two years experience with cooking and baking food in large quantities.
• Must have the physical capacity to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Experience with high volume scratch cooking is required.
• Candidate must be able to plan, organize and train others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned middle or high school site.
• Assist in other food preparation duties for cafeteria and snack bar operations.
• Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Work under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager.
