Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking a full-time kitchen/food preparation associate at our Philadelphia location. The role involves day-shift cooking in a high-volume setting, adhering to standardized recipes and HACCP procedures, and maintaining required records.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Trade School Culinary degree preferred and at least 2 years of experience. ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• Trade School Culinary Degree is preferred
• 2 years experience preparing food in a high-volume/institutional setting is required
• Experience with production equipment (electric slicers, convection/deck ovens, tilting skillets, fryers, steamers, steam kettles, mixers, meat grinders, food choppers) is preferred
• ServSafe Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in a high-volume institutional environment following standardized recipes and production requirements
• Adhere to HACCP procedures for all prep and food safety and maintain records
• Engage with customers to meet service expectations by actively assisting and communicating
