Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a First Cook to support hospital food service operations. This part-time role (24 hours) requires adherence to standardized recipes and production requirements, while maintaining HACCP records and delivering customer-focused service to patients and staff.

Two years of high-volume institutional cooking experience is expected, with high school diploma or equivalent required and trade school culinary degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Trade School Culinary Degree preferred.
• 2 years experience preparing food in a high volume/institutional environment required.
• General experience with production equipment preferred (electric slicers, convection ovens, deck ovens, tilting skillet, deep fat fryers, steamers, steam kettles, mixers, meat grinders, food choppers).

Responsibilities

• Master detailed food preparation adhering to standardized recipes and production requirements.
• Adhere to HACCP procedures and maintain records as required.
