Job summary

Emerald Isle Foods LLC in Richmond, VA, seeks a Pre-Cut Machine Operator to run the machine-cut packaging line, ensure quality fruits and vegetables, and maintain sanitation standards. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, and working in a 38°F damp production area.

You will follow GMPs, operate with supervision as needed, and support production with knowledge of unprocessed products while aiming for high production volumes and minimal waste.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation or food processing, preferably within the produce industry.
• General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and procedures in a produce food preparation environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines while performing job functions under immediate supervision.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Produce specialty machine-cut products from the Pre-Cut product line.
• Maintain knowledge of unprocessed products within the Pre-Cut product line.
• Uphold Pre-Cut's high-quality standards, including cut sizes, consistency, color, and ripeness of finished products.
• Demonstrate attention to food safety, sanitation, and operational safety while working with industrial food processing equipment.
• Maintain cross-functional knowledge of daily production operations.
