MetroHealth System in Cleveland Heights seeks a dedicated kitchen team member to efficiently cook and prepare menu items for residents and visitors. You will follow safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines, maintain logs, and assist with quality control procedures while upholding the system's mission and service standards.

Requirements include Level Two PIC Food Protection Certification or plan to obtain within 90 days, plus 1 year of high-volume food service experience.

Qualifications

• Possess Level Two PIC Food Protection Certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in high-volume food service and/or high-quantity cooking.
• Understanding of basic food preparation and cooking methods.
• Ability to read recipes, maintain logs, and communicate in the kitchen in English.
• Ability to verbalize menu options to customers.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations for cooking measurements.
• Preferred: HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accepted culinary certification or coursework.
• Basic understanding of therapeutic diet plans.

Responsabilités

• Efficiently and accurately perform cooking and food preparation assignments to produce high-quality products.
• Comply with safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines for the State of Ohio and The MetroHealth System.
• Participate in quality control procedures.
