Micron Technology invites you to join the Boise expansion team as a High Volume Manufacturing Shift Equipment Engineer. You will monitor, maintain, and improve equipment, partner with process teams, and drive uptime and performance in a fast‑paced fab environment.

The role demands hands‑on mechanical and electrical skills, experience with tool installations, data analysis (SPC/DOE), and a commitment to safety and TPM principles. Shift work flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineer. Other related fields may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identifies and appropriately handles chemicals and associated hazards in work area
• Recognizes and reacts appropriately to safety alarms (EES, fire alarm, MDA, ERT, etc)
• Improving area/shift KPIs by driving LTD reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize overall fab performance
• Drives a culture of Total Productive Maintenance including TPM metrics, WS health reports, Continuous Improvement Projects, and MTAGs
• Partners with Equipment Owners and Shift Engineers/Technicians to implement daily activities to resolve issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss
• Drive root cause analysis to permanent prevention
• Analyze data with SPC principles to improve process controls and reduce defectivity baselines
• Apply DOE principles and/or 8D problem solving methodology to identify equipment issues driving unscheduled down.
• Updates or helps create procedures to align with area and global practices to support training and daily execution
• Ensures assessor checklists and other documents are kept up to date
• Leveraging AI to enhance work role efficiency and enable improved response to fab and tool issues.
