Seneca Resorts & Casinos in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook will handle both high-volume and smaller batch cooking, follow recipes precisely, and uphold a clean, safe kitchen aligned with company policies.

Key duties include prep work, soups and sauces, back-up for the front line, and preparing items during peak periods. Compensation starts at $16.16/hour and is negotiable based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Basic fundamentals of cooking skills demonstrated.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete prep work such as cutting/preparing food items that are needed.
• Prepare and heat soups and sauces, meats, starches, fish, seafood & vegetables.
• Perform back-up functions for the front line such as preparing and assembling dishes for front cooks and servers.
• Prepare menu items to order as needed during high volume periods.
• Notify Sous Chef in the event that supplies are running low.
• Prepare all food items with strict adherence to food specifications set out in recipe manual.
• Assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities.
