Compass Group USA’s Chartwells Higher Ed team is hiring cashiers for CSU Monterey Bay. This on-site campus role involves cash handling, customer service, and basic food-service duties in a fast-paced environment.

Positions are available as full-time or part-time with weekends required. Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, plus benefits, shift meals, and shoe reimbursement. Instapay through One @Work is offered where available.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is required.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, processes various payment methods, and issues receipts.
• Follows procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Maintains accuracy of cash drawer and reports.
