Job summary

Azul Hospitality is seeking a bartender for hotel outlets in Detroit. You will prepare drinks, take orders at the bar, describe menu items, and restock inventory while maintaining a clean, organized bar area.

Requires 1–3 years of high-volume bar experience, 21+ age, and Safe Server certification. You’ll handle cash, assist servers, and participate in periodic deep cleaning and security of alcohol stock.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills.
• Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers for table delivery.
• Take beverage and food orders at the bar.
• Describe menu items and suggests products to customers.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits.
• Ensure all liquor, beer and wine product is put away safely and always secured.
• Operate a cash register and receive payment from customers, counting change as required.
• Keep bar area clean; dispose of waste and wash glassware; wipe prep areas.
• Assist servers, other bartenders, and barbacks when necessary.
• Participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet.
