JOB TITLE: High VolumeBaker

REPORTS TO: Production Manager, Head of Production

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides baked goods and prepped items by preparing and baking menu items according to recipes and brand standards. They lead in maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment while upholding the core values of S.W.E.E.T. and its mission of promoting brand integrity and quality.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  • Responsible for fulfilling the production list, given by management, which includes all cake batters, bars and/or prep items.
  • Demonstrates safe food handling practices and follow safety procedures for using equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Operates and monitors proper functioning of equipment to include mixers, scales and depositors; follows safety procedures for all equipment.
  • Maintain quality assurance guidelines and checklists in accordance with all FDA and cGMP standards and checklists updated and noted per assigned area.
  • Cleaning prep cook area including walls, tables, all mixers, sweeping and mopping floor.
  • Supporting inventory monitoring of buttercreams, fillings and other items.
  • Communicating with their Production Manager on progress throughout the day.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Occasional moderate to heavy lifting up to 50lbs, bending and reaching overhead may be required.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, active listening ability and visual acuity.
  • Continuous cross function communication with coworkers and management.
  • Able to interpret visual aids, one-point lessons (OPL), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process and Procedures (P&P), and quality and safety standards.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience utilizing baking equipment, such as Unifiller, cake dispensers, double rack ovens, etc.
  • High energy positive person who is able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Takes directions well and hits the ground running but will ask questions if need be.
  • Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
  • Hours of work for this position are approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Food sanitation, teamwork, quality focus, job knowledge, safety management, multi-tasking, dependability, thoroughness, strong verbal, and written communication.

Hourly Pay Range:

$17-20
