Franklin Group is seeking a Compliance Specialist to execute file-level compliance across affordable housing communities. You will review LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Bond documentation and certifications, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of affordable housing compliance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, HOME, and/or Bond programs.
• Experience with file reviews, certifications, and regulatory documentation.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time to support portfolio oversight and audits.

Responsibilities

• Review Move-Ins, Interims, and Annual Recertifications for compliance with applicable program requirements.
• Validate income, assets, allowances, and household composition using verifications and documentation standards.
• Ensure calculations, supporting documents, and TICs are accurate and fully supported.
• Identify deficiencies and provide clear, actionable corrections to onsite teams.
• Ensure all files meet LIHTC, HUD, HOME, and Bond requirements prior to approval.
• Meet service level standards: Move-Ins within 2 business days, Annual Recertifications within 3; final approvals within 1 day of resubmission.
• Maintain 20–30 files per day depending on complexity.
