High Voltage Transmission Project Manager

Join to apply for the High Voltage Transmission Project Manager role at POWER Engineers.

POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, provides program management services for major electric power delivery projects across North America and globally. We seek a talented and experienced Program Manager to lead operational excellence in our program and portfolio management services. This remote position requires up to 50% travel.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large projects, achieving performance metrics for Owners and POWER.
• Develop project organization, resource plans, and onboarding processes.
• Maintain schedules, oversee budgets, lead client relationships, and participate in proposal development.
• Manage project risks, issues, and budgets using risk registers and issue logs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and other PMs.
• Ensure financial success, monitor metrics, and manage subcontractors.
• Establish change management processes and lead through governance reviews.
• Track and analyze project KPIs and performance against baselines.
• Manage full project lifecycle, including cost and schedule, using EVM and CPM techniques.
• Demonstrate skills in scheduling, budgeting, team leadership, proposal writing, and client presentations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or technology.
• 15+ years of project and program management experience.
• 15+ years of experience in Electric Utility/Power Delivery markets.
• Practical experience in program mobilization and execution.
• PMP certification.
• Experience in developing and executing large T&D program strategies.
• Strong industry contacts with a history of utility project capture.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of power delivery/utility business drivers.
• Ability to build trusted client and team relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
