Job description

High Voltage Transmission Project Manager

Join to apply for the High Voltage Transmission Project Manager role at POWER Engineers.

POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, provides program management services for major electric power delivery projects across North America and globally. We seek a talented Program Manager to lead operational excellence in program and portfolio management, enhancing POWER’s leadership position as the preferred delivery partner. This is a remote position with up to 50% travel required.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large projects, achieving performance metrics for both Owner and POWER.
  • Develop project team organization, including roles, responsibilities, resource plans, and onboarding.
  • Maintain schedules, oversee budgets, participate in proposals, and manage client relationships.
  • Manage project risks, budgets, and issues using risk registers and issue logs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and other PMs.
  • Ensure financial success of programs, monitor metrics, and manage subcontractors.
  • Establish change management processes and lead owner governance reviews.
  • Track and analyze project KPIs, report performance, and manage full lifecycle costs and schedules using EVM and CPM.
  • Demonstrate skills in CPM scheduling, budget analysis, team leadership, proposal writing, and client presentations.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or technology.
  • 15+ years in project and program management within Electric Utility/Power Delivery.
  • Experience in program mobilization, execution, and developing strategies for large T&D programs.
  • PMP certification.
  • Relevant utility contacts and ability to travel up to 50%.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Understanding of power delivery/utility business drivers.
  • Building trusted client and team relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Base salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
