Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, a family owned business for over 75 years, is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in Hauppauge, NY. You will understand electronic theory, read schematics, troubleshoot to component level, and work from ATP test procedures to ensure high voltage power supplies meet specifications.

Ideal candidates have Electronics certification or degree and 3+ years of test experience, soldering skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Electronics certification (1 year) with minimum 3 years electronics test experience.
• AS degree in Electronics with 2 years electronics test experience.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 1 year electronics test experience.
• “C” school or equivalent military electronics training or union apprenticeship with 2 years electronics test.
• At least 4 years of practical electronics test experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand electronic theory and electrical circuitry; 1–2 years testing and troubleshooting assemblies.
• Read and understand schematics and circuits.
• Able to troubleshoot to component level.
• Able to work from written test procedures (ATP).
• Soldering skills.
• Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Experience in High Voltage Power Supplies environment is a plus.
