Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking a Technical Proposal Engineer to deliver high-quality technical content for tender submissions in the Tender Department. The role reports to the BID Director and focuses on aligning technical output with client requirements and industry standards.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an electrical trade qualification, strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the electrical contracting industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with IT systems and software.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Review technical aspects of tenders and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to deliver the most cost-effective solutions for clients.
• Specify major equipment and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate technical content for tenders, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts/general arrangements, calculations, schedules, and Project Execution Plans.
• Provide technical support to the estimating team throughout the tendering process.
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure technical proposals meet client expectations.
• Manage and maintain technical documentation.
