Job summary

General Motors (GM) is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Technical Operations Specialist to support GM’s Battery Cell Development Center in Warren, MI. You will maintain and troubleshoot electrical test stands, formation systems, battery handling equipment, and distribution equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

This role requires four-year technical education or apprenticeship, HV electrical certification or equivalent, and the ability to work a 24/7 shift.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels.
• Experience with lockout/tagout and hazardous energy control.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for high-voltage systems and battery equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC I/O, HMIs, drives, and sensors to restore operation.
• Assist commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting; document status.
