About The Role

WEG Electric Corp, a global electric equipment company, is seeking a High Voltage Solutions Sales Manager based in Houston, TX. The role focuses on bookings of WEG High Voltage Solutions Products, including Medium/High Voltage and ANEMA Low Voltage Motors and Medium Voltage Drives.

The responsibilities include sales activities, generating order-capture activities to support bookings and sales growth from existing customers, and cultivating new customers within the region. This involves developing sales strategies to increase exposure at OEMs, EPCs, and End Users. Travel to customer sites and industry conferences will be required. Success is measured by bookings.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with Application Engineering, Field Sales, Customers, and factories.
  • Understand OEMs and End Users applications and requirements.
  • Develop industry experience through research, conferences, and site visits.
  • Attend industry conferences and report activities quarterly.
  • Review requests for quotations and lead opportunities by requesting customer feedback.
  • Identify project/customer details vital for quotation strategy.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for WEG’s offerings.
  • Follow pricing guidelines and identify opportunities for management.
  • Review Purchase Orders and organize documentation.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Travel 50-75% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Training
  • Understand large motors, motor and drive applications, and related markets.
  • Proven sales experience in the Electric Machines industry.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical machines and applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (2-4 years related experience).

Experience

Minimum of 5 years in motor, motor/drive applications.
