Job summary

HRL Laboratories seeks an engineer to plan and perform testing and integration of electronic circuits and equipment, including high-voltage switching amplifiers. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work and experience with power electronics, analog, logic, and RF circuits.

Responsibilities include testing high-performance power electronics components, developing test plans, and documenting data. A BS/MS in EE and experience with SiC/GaN devices are preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience testing and integrating power, control, or analog electronics.
• Experience with SiC or GaN devices is desirable.
• Ability to work with high-voltage circuitry (>1 kV) is advantageous.
• Experience with layout and circuit simulation tools (Altium, SPICE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to power electronics design, implementation, and testing.
• Plan and execute test plans for high-performance power components and subsystems.
• Collaborate with lead designers to integrate prototypes and document results.
