Job summary

Saber Power Services seeks a Technician for Charlotte, NC. You will assist and perform electrical testing on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear, gaining exposure to protective relaying, circuit breakers, transformers, and metering.

Qualifications

• AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry.
• 0-4 years’ experience in the high voltage industry.
• Good mathematical skills required.
• Ability to travel 50% required.
• Power DB knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear.
• Protective relaying and relaying systems, circuit breakers, power transformers, and meters, transducers, and power system metering.
• Cover current and potential transformers, power cables, grounding systems, motors and motor starters, station batteries and chargers.
• Handle alarm systems and annunciators; safety is a core priority with zero tolerance for violations.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
