Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing in Charlotte, NC seeks a Test Technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting and start-up of low/medium voltage equipment in the field and shop. You will use complex test gear, ensure safe operation, and support project success.

Travel locally to nationally; international travel preferred. Requires 2+ years of electrical experience, ability to interpret schematics, and strong safety compliance; NETA/NICET preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals; operate protective relays, switchgear and transformers.
• Strict adherence to safety standards including LOTO and PPE; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house using company software.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers and relays.
• Maintain thorough test reports and ensure compliance with NETA standards.
• Respond to customer emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and clients to enable system commissioning.
