RMS Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician I in Knoxville, TN to perform testing, maintenance, and commissioning of HV/LV systems at power plants and industrial sites. You will work with relays, transformers, breakers, and SCADA while traveling up to 75% nationwide.

The role requires strong testing/troubleshooting skills, familiarity with electrical drawings, and safety compliance per NFPA 70E. A high school diploma or GED is required; NETA II certification is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0–1 year(s) experience in power testing, troubleshooting, or commissioning.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.269 is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across the continental U.S.

Aufgaben

• Test, maintain, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage systems.
• Run standard field tests like Power Factor, VLF, and insulation resistance.
• Troubleshoot control circuits and protection schemes on site.
• Read schematics and one-line diagrams and document results.
• Provide on-site customer updates and ensure satisfaction.
