Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking Field Service Technicians with testing and troubleshooting experience to support fieldwork across the country. You will test, maintain, and commission low to high-voltage systems at power plants, hydroelectric dams, and other industrial sites, working with relays, transformers, breakers, and SCADA systems.

We look for 1–3 years in power systems testing, strong data collection, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Able to test, maintain, and commission high voltage systems (480V–600kV) and related equipment.
• 1–3 years of power systems testing, troubleshooting, or commissioning experience.
• Ability to read schematics and one-line diagrams; willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Familiarity with safety standards and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and collect data on HV/LV systems and components.
• Run standard field tests (TTR, insulation resistance, Power Factor, Tan Delta, VLF, DC Hi-Pot).
• Troubleshoot control circuits and protection schemes; verify SCADA signal integrity.
• Read drawings, communicate with customers on-site, and maintain logs and reports.
• Support commissioning activities and mentor junior technicians.
