Job summary

RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking Field Service Technicians to test, maintain, and commission HV systems at power plants and industrial sites nationwide. You will work with relays, transformers, switches, and SCADA systems, ensuring safe, reliable energy delivery.

The role requires 0–1 year experience in power systems testing, familiarity with megohmmeters and insulation testers, and the ability to travel up to 75% across the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year experience in power systems testing or commissioning.
• Familiar with megohmmeters and insulation testers.
• Proficient in reading schematics and one-line diagrams.
• NFPA 70E/OSHA 1910.269 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and collect data on low to high voltage systems (480V–600kV).
• Run standard field tests (TTR, insulation resistance, Power Factor, Tan Delta, VLF, DC Hi-Pot).
• Troubleshoot control circuits and protection schemes.
• Read schematics and one-line diagrams; interpret manuals.
