Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electrician, High Voltage to support a government contract based at Kings Bay, Georgia. Journeyman-level duties include working with voltages above 600V, performing hot glove operations on energized 12.47 kV systems, and maintaining HV controls, transformers, and distribution equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, HV apprenticeship or two years HV experience, safety-focused mindset, ability to work from a bucket truck, CPR certification, and eligibility for a Secret

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• HV Apprenticeship or journey-level HV experience (12.47 kV+) preferred.
• Familiar with electrical test equipment for HV maintenance/repair.
• Capable of safe Hot Glove work on energized HV systems.
• Knowledge of switches, transformers, and their hookups.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and replace electrical controls, motors, switches, transformers, relays, and distribution equipment.
• Perform maintenance on oil and air circuit breakers and power supply/control systems.
• Support shift work, holidays and weekend coverage as required.
• Operate from bucket truck and adhere to safety requirements.
