Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a High Voltage Electrician in Ormond Beach, FL to install, maintain, test, and repair high voltage electrical systems in a manufacturing setting. You’ll ensure safe and compliant operation, reading schematics and performing diagnostics with specialized equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or electrical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of high voltage electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and repair high voltage systems including switchgear and transformers.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems with diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain records of inspections and work performed.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and OSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
