Job summary

Germfree is seeking a High Voltage Electrician in Ormond Beach, FL to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair high voltage electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. The role supports operational needs with safety-compliant, reliable systems.

Responsibilities include switching, diagnostics with megohmmeters and hi-pot testers, and ensuring adherence to codes and LOTO procedures; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with high voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and safety practices.
• Experience with testing equipment and diagnostic tools for high voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair high voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and distribution systems.
• Perform testing and diagnostics using specialized equipment such as megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and relay test sets.
• Inspect electrical systems, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize rework.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Execute switching procedures and support lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
