Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrician, High Voltage for a government contract based in Kings Bay, GA. The role covers energized HV systems above 600 volts, requiring adherence to hot-glove procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of electrical controls, motors, switches, transformers, and distribution equipment. Willingness to work shifts, holidays, and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Familiar with electrical test equipment for routine maintenance/repair of High Voltage transmission and distribution equipment.
• Capable of performing safe Hot Glove work on energized systems.
• Knowledge of switches, transformers, and their hookups.
• Will work at various heights, including bucket trucks.
• CPR certified.
• Must possess standard tools of the trade.
• Hard-toed safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413-05.
• Must obtain/maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and/or replace electrical controls, motors, switches, lighting, transformers, relays, breakers, and distribution practices for HV systems.
• Work holidays, weekends, and shift work as required.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.
