Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to install, inspect and repair high-voltage electrical systems across agency facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining electrical power distribution, monitoring switchgear, and performing emergency repairs in accordance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High Voltage Electrician Training program.
• Six years of journey-level electrical experience, including eighteen months in high voltage work.
• Valid PA Driver's License (not suspended).
• Master Electrician License from the City of Harrisburg required.

Responsibilities

• Install, analyze, and maintain electrical equipment and control systems.
• Respond to emergencies and repair energized systems following safety procedures.
• Maintain meters, generators, and control equipment using diagrams and tools.
• Monitor switchboards and power distribution, adjust controls per procedures.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and at various sites during field operations.
• Install and service variable frequency drives and use diagnostic devices.
