Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries Bayport, TX is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Technician to support maintenance of high voltage motors and distribution equipment. The role involves field work, safety adherence, and collaboration with plant operations.

You will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot HV systems, manage PM/PdM tasks, and ensure documentation in Maximo. Travel to sites may be required; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years plant HV or substation maintenance experience.
• Travel 1-10 days with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to field personnel on HV motors and distribution equipment.
• Direct and oversee repairs on high voltage equipment to Air Liquide standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance (PM) during turnarounds.
• Document work in CMMS (Maximo) and summarize results for plants.
• Develop scopes for electrical projects and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate AL and contract technicians to execute maintenance work.
• Lead mentoring and training of facility staff on electrical systems.
• Maintain 95%+ PM compliance and 100% EIS PM compliance.
• Plan work orders and improve PM details and job plans.
• Support PdM data analysis (thermography, relay testing, oil/gas tests).
