Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Alvin, TX is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform electrical testing and preventive maintenance on distribution systems from 138kV to 480V MCCs.

This role requires deep HV substation knowledge, experience with field test equipment, and the ability to work with reliability teams and contractors. You will help ensure safe operations and compliance with NFPA 70E while supporting plant reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two-year Associates in Electrical or Electronics Technology is preferred.
• NETA certification is a plus.
• Must be able to acquire a TWIC card.
• Experience with high voltage substations and electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and testing on electrical distribution systems from 138kV to 480V MCCs.
• Analyze test data and coordinate with E/I Reliability and Maintenance teams.
• Generate technical reports outlining problems and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors and participate in capital projects.
• Obtain safe work permits and provide QA/QC oversight of contractors.
• Plan high voltage switching and isolation and ensure NFPA 70E compliance.
