Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Electrical Distribution Maintenance Team at the Chocolate Bayou facility. The role focuses on testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical distribution systems from 138 kV to 480 V MCCs, with emphasis on safety and NFPA 70E compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in high voltage industry.
Experience in testing and preventive maintenance of high voltage substations and distribution systems.
Ability to create switching orders and coordinate high voltage switching and isolation.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing and preventive maintenance on distribution systems (138kV down to 480V MCCs).
Analyze test data and recommend corrective actions with E/I Reliability teams.
Generate detailed technical reports of findings and corrective actions.
Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on scopes-of-work and job planning.
Create and review JSA’s, safe-work permits, and QA/QC oversight for contractors.
Provide technical expertise on equipment selection and spare parts.
Perform high voltage switching and isolation planning.
Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance in assigned area.
