Job summary

West Avenue Compassion is seeking a Production Operator to operate and monitor our manufacturing line on site, ensuring efficient production and quality control. The role includes handling materials, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The ideal candidate has experience with high speed lines, packaging and filler machinery, plus forklift operation and blueprint reading. Willingness to work weekends/holidays as needed; adherence to GMPs is required.

Qualifications

• Experience on high speed production lines in a food or consumer goods setting.
• Experience operating pallets and forklifts.
• Experience operating packaging, filler and related equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand production flow.
• Experience with manufacturing computer systems and equipment controls.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency.
• Move materials and finished products to maintain proper flow.
• Ensure product and package quality; perform basic maintenance.
• Clean and prep equipment and work area; maintain housekeeping.
• Record downtime and machine operations; assist maintenance.
