Job summary

Shift runs Monday through Saturday from 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position requires the ability to work extended shifts, operate forklifts when trained, and follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and production specs.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily objectives.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and product specs.
  • Operate production equipment in accordance with SOPs.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality standards and specifications.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance.
  • Record production data including output, quality results, and downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with basic maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Comply with OSHA requirements and safety policies.
  • Assist training of new Operators on procedures and safety.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when trained.
  • Assist with setup and changeovers between runs.
  • Communicate status and issues to supervisors and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Production Operator
Position Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment and machinery to meet daily production goals. This position monitors equipment, inspects products for quality, records production information, performs basic equipment maintenance, and works closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Shift: Monday-Saturday, 5:45 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily production objectives.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and product specifications.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment, tools, and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Identify minor equipment issues and promptly report equipment malfunctions or major concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Record production data, including output quantities, quality results, downtime, and equipment performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and meet production requirements.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment inspections as assigned.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA requirements and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training new Production Operators on equipment operation, work procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained, authorized, and required.
  • Assist with equipment setup and changeovers between production runs.
  • Follow established SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures for assigned tasks.
  • Communicate production status, equipment issues, safety concerns, and other operational matters to supervisors and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business and operational needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, or a related environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, equipment, and basic production processes.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, safety procedures, and production specifications.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work the assigned schedule, including extended shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Must be able to safely handle materials, tools, and production equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, temperature changes, moving machinery, and other production-related conditions.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
