Job summary

MiTek in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled press operator to run a high-speed stamping press and related packaging processes. You will work to meet daily production goals, report equipment issues, and assist mechanics to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read a tape measure; forklift experience is a plus. You must be reliable, able to work overtime, and committed to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience.
• Effective communication with co-workers and management.
• Read a tape measure.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Operate a high speed stamping press and packaging equipment (manual and automated).
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Manually pack metal connector plates and steel components into packaging containers.
• Inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers.
• Attendance on schedule and willingness to work overtime as needed.
