Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in high-speed industrial environment.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cigarette packing equipment (X-1, X-2, Focke) and meet product quality, output, and waste requirements as well as regulatory compliance.
• Diagnose machine problems and make mechanical adjustments to mitigate downtime.
• Repair or maintain the operating condition of high-speed industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
• Disassemble machinery to remove parts and make repairs.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify repairs.
• Analyze test results or machine error messages to diagnose problems.
• Record parts or materials used and order new parts as necessary.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Study blueprints or manuals to determine correct installation or operation.
• Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
