Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Durham, NC is seeking seasoned Maintenance Mechanics for the Durham facility. Work 2-2-3 shifts, 6:45am–7:00pm or 6:45pm–7:00am, maintaining a high-speed trading card packaging line with Longford feeders, Syntegon DO-DIY wrapper, and Shanklin wrapper.

Must blend mechanical, electrical, automation, and materials-science skills to protect delicate products. Responsibilities include maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting and repairing, and fabricating/replacing

Qualifications

Experience maintaining complex production equipment on high-speed packaging lines.
Advanced ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and manufacturers' specs.
Welding or machine tool skills to repair or reproduce parts when needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain organization's production equipment.
Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
Repairs and maintains machinery according to diagrams, manuals, and specs using hand tools, power tools, and measuring/testing instruments.
