Job summary

Aerotek is recruiting for a Maintenance Operator to support high-speed production lines in Overland, MO. The role emphasizes mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and adjustments to maximize uptime and product quality.

It requires hands-on experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, fillers, and labeling equipment, plus strong changeover and setup skills. The position reports on-site and offers a 12-hour rotating schedule with day and night shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with high-speed production or packaging equipment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
Experience replacing motors and gearboxes.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
Basic electrical knowledge and motor wiring experience.
Ability to diagnose and repair packaging equipment.
Experience performing quality inspections.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and perform changeovers on production and packaging lines.
Maintain and repair conveyors, gearboxes, motors, fillers, cappers, labeling equipment, and packaging machines.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment issues.
Operate machinery during startups, changeovers, and production runs.
Replace motors and gearboxes as needed.
Perform basic electrical tasks, including wiring and rewiring motors.
Conduct quality checks on equipment and products.
Work with machine operators and production staff to keep lines running efficiently.
