Qualifications

• High School education or GED is required or preferred.
• Five to seven years in a manufacturing environment.
• Competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
• Willingness to travel for training at other locations.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain automated press equipment, ensuring all aspects of the operation are running effectively.
• Run quality checks on product in line with customer requirements.
• Remove jams and report irregularities to management; restore equipment and resume production promptly.
• Maintain production tally and load production tickets on assigned lines.
• Sort defective product as required.
• Relieve other plant employees as needed.
• Use check sheets and graphs to track causes of production problems and spoilage.
• Communicate information between departments and shifts on changes to equipment or schedules.
• Identify and implement solutions to machinery problems; think creatively and strategically.
• Oversee quality and suggest modifications to achieve optimal performance.
