Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Mail Inserter Operator I for the overnight shift in Columbia, SC. You will operate high-speed inserters and mailing equipment to process first-class correspondence and checks, while maintaining quality logs and adhering to USPS and privacy regulations.

The role requires endurance for a night shift schedule (8 hours) in a warehouse setting, with potential overtime and occasional inter-building travel.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a business or government setting.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate all inserters, mailing machines and printers for production mail processing.
• Accurately maintain manual quality control logs for charge-back purposes.
• Set up and adjust equipment for each job to ensure proper processing.
• Hand-match checks with statements and inserts into envelopes as they are produced.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and enforce security procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and perform cleaning and maintenance as needed.
