Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Application Development Engineer in Raleigh, NC to lead design and development of high‑speed connectors and cable assemblies for telecom, data, and industrial markets.

You will collaborate with customers, cross‑functional teams and suppliers to translate requirements into manufacturable concepts, create drawings and BOMs, support sales with technical training, and travel as needed.

Formación

• 2-5 years of experience in product development/design.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree alternative).
• Experience designing and developing high speed Connectors, cable assemblies and cable assembly systems.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical reasoning and problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical projects for planning, organizing, and conducting development of connectors and cable systems.
• Work with customers and management to develop custom products meeting requirements.
• Translate requirements into product concepts with cross-site teams and various sources.
• Design for Manufacturability to optimize cost and manufacturability.
• Create drawings, material specs, BOMs and manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing including training and visits.
• Coordinate tests and qualifications to ensure conformance with specs.
• Travel as required.
