Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking an Application Development Engineer in Nashua, NH. You will lead the design and development of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies, coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver custom solutions.

The role requires hands-on project leadership, a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), and 2–5 years of experience in product development. Occasional travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in product development and design.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree an alternative).
• Experience designing high-speed connectors, cable assemblies and cable systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical reasoning and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Full technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting projects in connector/cable design and development.
• Collaborate with customers and management to develop custom products satisfying requirements.
• Translate requirements into product concepts using diverse sources and multi-site teams.
• Design for manufacturability to balance cost and performance.
• Ensure connectors meet all functional requirements for customer applications.
• Provide product cost data and support to Sales and Marketing.
