Job summary

State of Indiana is seeking a Correctional Officer at the Indiana Women’s Prison in Indianapolis. The role includes maintaining unit security, supervising daily activities, and ensuring safety for staff and inmates on a 12‑hour shift.

The position starts with a base pay of $22/hour plus $1/hour differential, with potential higher base pay depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass drug screenings.
• Ability to work mandatory/voluntary overtime up to 16 hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of staff and inmates during a 12‑hour shift.
• Monitor security in assigned areas and ensure program schedules.
