Job summary

Muhlenberg High School is seeking a Wrestling Assistant Coach for the Winter 2027 season. The ideal candidate will support student-athletes and contribute to the 7–12 program, aligning with the Muhlenberg School District's philosophy and PIAA guidelines.

Required is a High School Diploma, knowledge of wrestling, teamwork, and the ability to supervise and communicate with students, parents, staff, and officials. Clearances and references are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of the sport and experience coaching in wrestling.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to give clear direction and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Work with the High School Head Coach to carry out the program philosophy across the 7–12 program.
• Communicate clearly with student-athletes, parents, school officials and officials.
• Operate within the Muhlenberg School District Blueprint/Action Plan and PIAA requirements.
• Participate in all training as required by PIAA.

Job description

Muhlenberg High School has a vacancy for a High School Wrestling Assistant Coach. Beginning Winter 2027 season. Successful candidates should believe in the importance of the impact of extra-curricular activities in a child's K-12 experience and overall social, emotional and academic development.

Preferred

• Prior coaching experience in scholastic wrestling
• Bilingual candidates

Required

• Must be interested in supporting and working with all student-athletes
• Knowledge of PIAA rules and policies governing the sport
• Ability to work within the Blueprint/Action Plan of the Muhlenberg School District
• Clearly communicate to student athletes, parents, school officials and sport officials
• Work collaboratively/cooperatively with the High School Head Coach to ensure their philosophy is being carried out throughout the 7-12 program

Interested applicants must have current clearances, Acts 34, 114, 151 and 168 and three professional references.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in all training as required by PIAA.
