Muhlenberg Junior High School is seeking a Junior High Girls Head Basketball Coach for the Winter 2026-2027 season. The ideal candidate will value extracurricular activities as part of K-12 development and work to support students socially, emotionally, and academically.

Preferred candidates include scholastic basketball coaching experience and bilingual abilities. Required: high school diploma, knowledge of the sport, teamwork, clear direction, supervision, and adherence to PIAA policies.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with High School Head Coach to align philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Junior High Girls Basketball program and coaching staff.
• Uphold PIAA rules and district policies during practices and games.
• Provide clear guidance, supervision, and feedback to players.
• Coordinate with the High School Head Coach to ensure program alignment.
• Communicate with student-athletes, families, and school personnel.

Successful candidates should believe in the importance of the impact of extra-curricular activities in a child's K-12 experience and overall social, emotional and academic development.

Preferred

• Prior coaching experience in scholastic basketball
• Bilingual candidates

• Work collaboratively/cooperatively with the High School Head Coach to ensure their philosophy is being carried out at the Junior High level

Interested applicants must have current clearances, Acts 34, 114, 151 and 168 and three professional references.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in all training as required by PIAA.
