Job summary

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a certified high school mathematics teacher for a fully remote role for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires teaching Algebra 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus to approximately 25-27 students, with daily 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with another virtual teacher for course content.
• Document lessons, monitor student progress, and grade assignments; communicate with parents regularly.
• Deliver daytime instruction 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. EDT, Monday–Friday.

Position Details

Position: High School Math Teacher
Setting: Fully Remote
School Year: 2026-2027
Schedule: Daytime, Monday-Friday
Weekly Hours: Approximately 30-35 hours
Availability Required: Between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EDT
Class Size: Approximately 25-27 students

Subjects Taught

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in:

• Algebra 2
• Geometry
• PreCalculus

Experience teaching all three subject areas is required.

School curriculum is provided along with collaboration with another virtual teacher for course content.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience, excluding student teaching, at the high school level
• Minimum of 2 years of remote/virtual teaching experience
• Demonstrated expertise teaching Algebra 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus- 4 class periods a day with paid planning period
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
• Valid teaching certification in High School Mathematics
• Strong written communication and documentation skills, including the ability to document lessons, monitor student progress, and grade assignments as well as regular communicate with parents regarding the progress of their student
• Ability to effectively engage and support students in a virtual classroom environment
• Reliable high-speed internet access
• Reliable computer/device equipped with a working camera and microphone
• Availability to teach during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EDT
